This week, I learned about a driving app for Volkswagen Golf GTI owners that basically creates a driving soundtrack based on the situation and conditions. I really like the idea behind this, but I don’t drive a VW, so I did some digging to find the offerings for specific models, and here’s the most talked about ones out there.

The TripCast app is made for Chrysler Jeep owners and it tailors to the outdoorsy style of the Jeep driver. Jeep owners can save trips, post their own photos and videos, write about a trip map, chat with other users, and post to social networks.

Automaker: Mini

Mini Link is an app for Mini drivers and Mini enthusiasts -- it is map-based and lets users detect each other and interact through social media features.  App users can drop pins to mark their favorite drives, join communities, and send each other alerts about speed traps and cheap gas.
